The CW and a busy time.

Posted on 1st October, 2012

It's been a busy time recently with a family wedding; where I took the photos, and a visit to the first Scottish Smallholders show. The smallholders show will feature in my next column so you can read all about it and hopefully it will help spread the word for next year's show.

Taking wedding pictures is always a pleasure, I've done a few now and if anyone else fancies having a chat with me about the possibility of taking their wedding photos then please do get in touch. Traditional photos and those with an unusual slant i.e. horses, tractors or livestock are my speciality.

My latest article on dog breeding appears on the front cover of The Countrymans Weekly and it's full of things to consider before taking the plunge and breeding from your own dog. With so many dogs and puppies ending up in rehoming centres it pays to be wise before the event.

Our latest addition to the kennel is providing us with hours of fun and enjoyment, I don't know what we ever did without him. He's a replacement for our very old JR who died earlier this year. It's a tough act to follow but junior is doing a sterling job.

I'd also like to wish Heather at Old Pond all the best as she moves on. I'll miss you as I prepare my next book, but I'm sure our paths will cross again. Good luck in all that you do and here's hoping your replacement lives up to your high standards, I'm sure they will.
