February snows.

Posted on 6th February, 2013

We've had our fair share of snow over the past few days, it's made it difficult at times but in spite of the blizzards we have carried on and the grass is now showing again.

With quite a bit of time spent inside I've been able to finish painting an old tea pot. It's a bit on the large side having come out of our local village hall, so it makes an interesting centre piece. It will appear on the gallery page for my painted horseshoes in the next couple of days. I'm now turning my attention to creating wedding horseshoes, I've recently had an enquiry about using these as a wedding gift, so thought I'd try and get a couple on my gallery page, keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks.

If you are keen on hunting then have a look at this week's Countryman's Weekly where I have an article on jumping out hunting; it's all about staying safe while having fun out with hounds, no one wants to have an accident.

It won't be long until the Aberdeen Spring Show but before then my usual column and a couple of current news items will be in the spring issue of Farming North which will be out very soon. I can't quite believe we are gearing up for spring when we haven't left the snow behind. Hope you enjoy my writing.
