Farming North autumn issue out now.

Posted on 18th August, 2014

It hardly seems as though summer is over and the autumn issue of Farming North is out and all kinds of things have come from my keyboard for this issue. Brenda Scott's wonderful Zwartble sheep have their own feature, my column centres on the Highland Folk Museum at Newtonmore, there's a reminder of how awful ragwort can be for grazing animals, especially horses. A photo feature on the smallholder's show at Thainstone graces the back page and there's also a plea from Edinville Agricultural club for new members and Dr Carla Gomes' asks for input from small scale pig keepers. It was certainly a busy run-up to publication for me.

I've been working on something special for Smallholder magazine too - more when that comes out.
