Gypsy cobs and Rare Breeds.

Posted on 30th September, 2011

We've been making the most of this beautiful sunny weather and have been on some wonderful rides on our own native ponies recently. They love this kind of countryside and are wonderful on hill and heather moorland.

It's been busy at work too. I've just completed an article on rare and minority breeds for Home Farmer magazine that will be in their January 2012 issue; can it be so late in the year already? I've just started work on a gypsy cob piece for Inharness magazine and am beginning to look at putting together the bones of my talk to the Peterhead Photographic Society at the beginning of November. The Countrymans Weekly ran a piece by me on what to expect at the end when your working dog toddles off to that great kennel in the sky, last week - the layout was wonderful, especially as the topic will affect all dog owners at some point.

To top it all we sat for about half an hour yesterday at Portgordon watching about 30 seals playing in the water and sunning themselves on the rocks - what a wonedrful way to spend the afternoon.
