Lakeland Book of the Year Awards and other bits and pieces.

Posted on 27th January, 2012

It's been a jolly interesting week work wise. I've been asked by the Fell Pony Society Scottish Group NE Branch to do a talk on my horsy books which will be great, can't wait to set a date for that. Then along came the chance to write a piece for the Highland Pony Journal, again a great opportunity and today The Horses of Appleby Fair has been entered into the Lakeland Book of the Year Award, fingers crossed for that one.

Along with that I've been busy compiling my quarterly column for the upcoming edition of Farming North and a couple of news items too, so all in all very busy at the moment. Now all I have to do is finish my article for Home Farmer on 'Rearing the runt' - an unusual topic, but one that all livestock breeders will likely come across at some point or another.
